Ramon V. Murray

FASLA

Ramon V. Murray, PLA, FASLA is a Principal Landscape Architect with Murray Design Group, Inc. based in Orlando, Florida.  His project experience as a registered landscape architect has included community parks, streetscapes, corporate campus design, housing projects and mixed-use developments.  As an academic at the University of Florida, he conducted research in cultural landscape preservation and urban neighborhood revitalization as well as taught design studios in Italy and Barbados.  Over a thirty-five-year career Ramon V. Murray has advanced knowledge of the landscape architecture profession and provided service to ASLA and LAAB through his pro bono services to community and service organizations, educational institutions, his ASLA Chapter, and the nation.  He holds an MLA from the University of Michigan and a BLA from the University of Florida.

Murray currently serves on the CLARB Board of Directors as well as a practitioner evaluator for the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (LAAB) and its accredited landscape architecture programs throughout the US. His leadership experience includes Secretary of the LAAB, Chair of the Harry P. Leu Gardens in Orlando, Florida and Chair of the Audit committee for the Florida Chapter of ASLA. His pro bono work includes the development of affordable housing with the Housing and Neighborhood Development Services (HANDS) of central Florida and the Hannibal Square Land Trust in Winter Park.  He has also developed curricula and taught courses at the Summer Education and Engagement for Kids Symposium (SEEKS) program in Michigan as a basis promote the profession of landscape architecture.
